Mr. Thompson was born in Manalapan township but had spent most of his life at Freehold. He had been sexton of Maplewood cemetery for some time. He was'a member of the Freehold Episcopal church and of the Red Men's lodge and American Mechanics' lodge of Freehold. Mr. Thompson married Miss Eliza Callaghan, and she and three children survive him. The children are Ethel, William H., and. David I. Thompson. Three sisters and a brother also survive him.
