"GEORGE THOMPSON FATALLY STRIKEN
George Otis Thompson, 87, of West Farms Road, Howell Township, fell dead yesterday morning just as he was about to put some packages in his auto which was parked in the Freehold borough parking lot, off Mechanic Street.
The Freehold First Aid Squad rushed to the scene and called police. A Farmingdale physician said that Mr. Thompson had had a heart condition for several years.
A gardener for many years, Mr. Thompson was born Feb. 4, 1871, in Millhurst, a son of the late George and Sarah Vanderhoff Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Thompson, two sons, Arthur, of Englishtown, and Frederick, Freehold; and two daughters, Mrs. Harry Hafeman, Howell Township, and Mrs. Anthony Wroblewski, Freehold Township.
The VanSant Funeral Home, freehold, is in charge of funeral arrangements."

"THOMPSON SERVICES
Services for George Otis Thompson, 87, West Farms Road, Howell Township, who dies Sept. 10 in Freehold, were held Saturday ay 2 p.m. at the VanSant Funeral Home, Freehold, with Rev. Fay Smith, pastor of the Farmingdale Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the family plot in Maplewood Cemetery."
